Relocating internal assembly operations carries significant risks, especially when experienced operators and critical know-how are lost. Floor cleaning machine producer sought a new partner for complex products and outdated Swiss production lines. VIDEOTON took over assembly, upgraded non-CE-certified lines, transferred injection molding tools and manually soldered PCBAs, enabling compliant, efficient, order-based production with direct international shipments.

VIDEOTON successfully took over the customer’s full production after the closure of its Spanish factory, transferring assembly, injection molding, and warehousing operations. Through a greenfield investment, a dedicated production hall was built and optimized to accommodate the entire process within a significantly smaller footprint.

Rising European demand required the relocation of injection molding and assembly operations while managing expired tool warranties, additional assembly capacity, and a highly sensitive supply chain. This project transfer by VIDEOTON highlights how structured transfer planning, new tooling, and coordinated logistics enabled a successful ramp-up to high-volume serial production.

To improve cost efficiency, the RCBO distributor’s customer sought an alternative to in-house assembly in the Netherlands. Following a structured ramp-up and safety stock build, production was transferred to VIDEOTON and restarted immediately, including complex PIM injection molding, automated welding, and high-volume testing operations.

After several years of joint evaluation, the power tools supplier decided to outsource both battery-powered and corded product families to VIDEOTON in order to remain price competitive. The scope included multiple legacy products approaching end of life, requiring a flexible and cost-efficient manufacturing solution.

To meet rising demand for automotive connector parts, the partner required a supplier capable of rapidly transferring molds and financing major injection molding investments. This project showcases how a new production site, pre-trained teams, and fast infrastructure setup of VIDEOTON enabled serial production of 60 parts within just three months.
