Successful Relocation of High-Precision Product Assembly and Sheet Metal Production
When a partner’s production facility was sold, VIDEOTON managed a complex, time-critical production relocation, covering sheet-metal manufacturing, sub-assemblies, and final assembly of a letter folding machine. Despite the challenges, VIDEOTON's team ensured a stable transition.

- Direct headcount: 75 assembly + 25 sheet-metal
- Suppliers / PNs taken over: 147 / 2100
- Product Variants: 106
- Transfer time: 1-1,5 years
Background of the transfer project
The partner sold their production facility, making relocation unavoidable. This required the full transfer of sheet-metal manufacturing, sub-assemblies, and final assembly to a new location. A major additional challenge was incomplete, outdated, or missing technical documentation, which increased operational and quality risks during the transfer.
VIDEOTON's solution
Our assembly team completed several weeks of intensive, hands-on training to fully understand product structure and assembly details. In parallel, the technology department reviewed, corrected, and re-created all missing manufacturing and assembly documentation to ensure stable serial production.
