Assembly Relocation: Maintaining Uninterrupted Supply During Transition
Relocating internal assembly operations carries significant risks, especially when experienced operators and critical know-how are lost. This project demonstrates VIDEOTON's proactive approach to safety stock planning, on-site operational support, and coordinated purchasing, ensuring uninterrupted supply throughout the transition.

Background of the transfer project
The partner decided to relocate its internal assembly operation to another site. A key risk was the partial loss of experienced operators and critical know-how, as some employees left the company before a safety stock could be fully built. This increased the risk of supply disruptions during the transition period.
VIDEOTON's solution
Our team actively supported operations at the original location to build up sufficient buffer (safety) stock before the transfer. Purchasing colleagues ensured timely ordering to cover both the buffer build and the ramp-up phase after relocation, enabling a smooth and uninterrupted transition.
