Visit of President of Hungary to VIDEOTON

As part of her tour in Fejér County, Katalin Novák, the President of Hungary, visited the industrial park of VIDEOTON in Székesfehérvár, where she got the know the manufacturing processes of the electronics producer VIDEOTON EAS.

 

The President was welcomed by Péter Lakatos and Ottó Sinkó, CEOs of VIDEOTON, and Dr. András Cser-Palkovics, the Mayor of Székesfehérvár, at one of the modern plants of the prominent company group, which plays a significant role in the life of the region and the city. The leaders of VIDEOTON and the city expressed that VIDEOTON, with over 85 years of manufacturing history and more than three decades of Hungarian ownership, employing over 9,300 people in Hungary and Bulgaria, has been a stable and successful manufacturing company, serving as a driving force for the economic activities in Székesfehérvár and Fejér County for the past 30 years. With its complex, modern, and extensive technology, the company operates in 9 locations in Hungary and 1 in Bulgaria, offering manufacturing and related services to industrial companies. Thanks to its broad range of activities, versatile technologies, continuous innovation, and stable financial situation, VIDEOTON is currently one of the largest domestically owned companies. Within its industry of contract manufacturing, it stands as the fourth largest manufacturer with European headquarters.

The delegation was guided by Csaba Klambauer, the managing director of VIDEOTON EAS., through the company's state-of-art electronics manufacturing unit. In the 20,000 square meters modern plant, which was opened in 2019, nearly 1,100 employees work. This facility produces almost 13 million PCBs, components, modules, or finished products annually, contributing to the manufacturing of routers, repeaters, and various smart home and building automation products for end-users. During the factory tour, discussions covered the values of the family-friendly company group, as well as the business and employer philosophy, sustainability, and social responsibility activities of the VIDEOTON group. Additionally, the President engaged in conversations with the employees on the production floor, who demonstrated their work processes to the visitors.
