Complex Product Transfer: How VIDEOTON Revitalized a Swiss Floor Care Production Line
Floor cleaning machine producer sought a new partner for complex products and outdated Swiss production lines. VIDEOTON took over assembly, upgraded non-CE-certified lines, transferred injection molding tools and manually soldered PCBAs, enabling compliant, efficient, order-based production with direct international shipments.

Background of the transfer project
The customer’s initial outsourcing of assembly to a Romanian supplier was unsuccessful, prompting the search for a new partner to handle more complex products. In addition, Swiss products were manufactured on 40-year-old, non-CE-certified lines that no longer met current standards.
VIDEOTON's solution
We took over primarily assembly operations, along with several injection molding tools from sub-suppliers, and upgraded the production lines to meet current standards. We also completed the transfer of manually soldered PCBAs.
Production runs in a single shift on an order-based model, with direct shipments handled by us, including deliveries to distant international destinations.
