One EMS Operation, Many Markets – Non-Automotive Electronics Manufacturing in Hungary
Alongside its automotive activities, Székesfehérvár is also the centre of VIDEOTON’s non-automotive EMS production in Hungary. Through VIDEOTON Electronic Assembly Services, the Hungarian operation serves customers across industrial, building automation, smart home, networking, energy and consumer-related markets.
And the focus goes far beyond PCBAs: around 80% of VT EAS turnover comes from box-build products, reflecting the company’s ability to take manufacturing from electronics to complete or near-complete products.
One location, very different products
What does that mean in practice? Wireless routers, smart home control devices, wearable barcode scanners, HVAC controllers, voltage regulators, portable energy systems are just a few examples. The wider portfolio stretches from building automation, electrical safety and power distribution to lighting, household, consumer and smart metering applications.
Behind this variety is a flexible manufacturing setup combining SMT and THT production, product-specific testing and final assembly supported by strong internal automation and test engineering capabilities, as well as comprehensive supply chain management. This allows VIDEOTON to adapt the manufacturing concept to very different product types, volumes and complexity levels.
Support can also continue beyond serial production, with services including DfX, repair and refurbishment, failure analysis, firmware updates, spare-parts management and reverse logistics.
