Local Expertise Meets Global Reach – Electronics Manufacturing in Germany
Local production, short communication channels and close cooperation with customers. These are among the key advantages of electronics manufacturing in Germany. With Limtronik GmbH, part of VIDEOTON Group since July 2025, customers can benefit from these strengths while gaining access to additional manufacturing capabilities across Europe and the USA.
Electronics Manufacturing in Germany – From Prototype to Serial Production
Based in Limburg an der Lahn, Limtronik offers comprehensive Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS), from development support and prototyping to industrialization, serial production and complete system assembly.
With approximately 170 employees and a 10,000 m² highly digitalized smart factory, the company specializes in advanced electronics manufacturing. Its production capabilities include three SMT lines in Germany, THT assembly, advanced inspection and testing technologies, as well as box-build and control cabinet manufacturing.
Limtronik's flexible production approach accommodates different volumes and product complexities, from prototypes and small batches to larger production series. Close cooperation between engineering and manufacturing teams helps accelerate product introductions and supports efficient production processes.
The company serves demanding industries, including Automotive, Industrial Electronics, Renewable Energy and Security Technology, with IATF 16949-certified manufacturing processes.
Local Manufacturing, International Flexibility
Since joining VIDEOTON Group in 2025, Limtronik has become part of a broader electronics manufacturing network spanning Hungary, Bulgaria, Germany and the USA.
This creates additional opportunities for customers whose production requirements change over time. While Limtronik provides local engineering support and manufacturing in Germany, VIDEOTON's Hungarian facilities offer highly automated electronics production and complex system assembly. Bulgaria contributes cost-competitive manufacturing options, particularly for labour-intensive assembly and THT processes, while Limtronik USA supports customers targeting the North American market.
The cooperation also extends beyond electronics manufacturing. Both companies provide EMS and box-build services, complemented by VIDEOTON's in-house capabilities in sheet metal fabrication, machining and plastic injection moulding. Customers can therefore source a wider range of manufacturing processes within one Group, reducing supplier interfaces and coordination efforts.
