Péter Lakatos

Peter LAKATOS was born in Budapest, in 1961. He graduated from the Technical University of Budapest as an electrical engineer in 1983. He went on to perform scientific work as Ph.D. student in computer sciences on “Man-Machine Interaction”.
He started his professional career at Műszertechnika Zrt. in 1986, where he participated among others in the establishment of the Eastern European foreign trade and the world-wide sourcing activity of the company. He played a prominent part in the set-up of the office automation business line of the company. He was Member of the Board at Műszertechnika ZRt. from 1991 till 2013.
Also in 1991, he joined the shareholders of Videoton Holding Zrt, where he is a co-CEO and a member in the Board of Directors even today. Here, besides the usual executive tasks they exercise together with Otto Sinkó (e.g. strategic management, HR related matters), the main emphasis of his activity is on business development and the support of the manufacturing companies’ operation.
Since 2007 he has been the joint owner and honorary president of Bravogroup. With his wife Éva CSIBY they established and operate the charity website www.ad6kap6.hu which has been online since 2008.
He is also the Vice President of the Confederation of Hungarian Employers and Industrialists (MGYOSZ) which is a member federation of BUSINESSEUROPE. Here, his objective is to increase the number of successful Hungarian companies on the world market.
In the everyday life bridge means the mental recreation for him while he uses tennis and golf for maintaining his physical condition. He is also fond of theatres. As him and his family being the owners of one of the historic Bauhaus buildings in Budapest, they house the Átrium Film-Színház (Atrium Movie-Theater), a mainstream-alternative venue there.
In July 2016 the European Commission appointed Mr. Lakatos to Member of the EIT Governing Board. Ottó Sinkó

Born in 1958.  In 1982 he earned a degree in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Budapest.
From 1982 he works for Medicor as a software development engineer, from 1983 he is a development engineer at Műszertechnika, - the the largest private computer firm in Hungary - followed by a department lead position in hardware and software development at the same. Between 1988 and 1990 he is the resident director of Műszertechnika’s US affiliate. As uncommon as it was inside the former Soviet bloc this affiliate was responsible for the US merchandising of hardware and software products developed in Hungary and contract manufactured in Taiwan, ironically then subject to COCOM regulations. He continues to remain a shareholder and supervisory board member of Műszertechnika to this day.
Between 1991 and 1994 he earned an English MBA and completed an executive training program at Harvard University in 1996.
From December 1991, that is from the beginning of privatization, he is a shareholder and executive leader of Videoton Holding plc and a member of the Board. Starting from 1996, in a capacity of a chief executive role shared with Mr. Peter Lakatos he is in charge of the day-to-day and strategic management and leadership of Videoton. In this role his primary focus is managerial finance, investment and treasury decisions, asset management and investments including operational control of Videoton subsidiaries. Under their joint leadership Videoton has, in the last two decades, continuously enjoyed the position of the single largest and locally owned manufacturing company in Hungary. Since the 2008 credit crunch Videoton has achieved outstanding growth with revenues having been doubled since and in terms of added value it is continously ranked amongst the top three EU-based contract manufacturers.
Occasionally he enjoys engaging himself for the community and in social duties and is an active sportsman and finds pleasure in playing squash and cycling. His hobbies include reading and contemporary, turn-of-the-century Hungarian painting. He is a patriot of his hometown Székesfehérvár, his charitable work and donations are extensive and he has been a long-standing supporter of Friar Csaba Böjte's foundation for 10 years. He has three sons two of whom work at Videoton.

Division of tasks

We handle the management of the member companies (cca 15 closely controlled subsidiaries and 10 joint ventures) together. Peter Lakatos is primarily responsible for ongoing businesses, customer-supplier relations, business development, pricing issues. Otto Sinko is mainly responsible for the control of the financial management, treasury decisions, wealth, property utilisation - development, technical development, acquision of innovative companies. The establishment of strategy, decisions on investment and acquisitions are made together, HR, inspection based on controlling system is done together in line with the personal fields of competencies evolving from the settled share of responsibilities.

Gyöngyi Ranczné Rácz
CFO - Chief Financial Officer

She graduated from the Marx Károly University of Economics in Budapest (Corvinus University of Budapest) in 1977, specialised in company finance. She joined Videoton as an analysing economist in the financial department. In 1988 she gained certified public accountant degree, then in 1989 an inspecting specialist economist degree. From 1990 she is the Head of the Financial and Accounting Department at one of the subsidiaries of the group. She became Financial and Accounting Director after the privatisation of Videoton. Since 1994 she is Chief Financial Officer.



Mihály Tunkli
Vice President, Business Development

Born in 1954. He graduated from the computer faculty of Kandó Kálmán Technical College of Electronics. He joined Videoton in 1975 as system engineer. He was chief of the customer service of Videoton in Belgrade between 1978 and 1983. In 1986 he was appointed to chief engineer of the QC and customer service in the Videoton group. During the restructuring process of the at that time still state owned Videoton the establishment of the first subsidiary companies of the group took place under his management. From 1993 onwards he participated in the establishment of the Contract Manufacturing branch of Videoton, and remained active in this field as the managing director of this branch. He established business relationships and was actively involved in starting the first projects with such well-known multinational companies like: AFL, Goodmans, IBM, Kenwood, Matsushita, Mars Electronics, Michels, Sanyo, Sharp, Sony, Sumitomo, Texas. Since 2003 he is vice president of business development in the company group.



Zoltán Horváth
Director, International Projects

Born in 1961 in Székesfehérvár. Graduated from the Technical University of Heavy Industry in Miskolc as mechanical engineer. In 1997 he gained economics degree in the University of Economics in Budapest. He joined Videoton Electronics Company in 1985 as developing technologist in the Radio Factory. In 1991 he participated in the first Philips project of Videoton. In 1994 he was founding director of the predecessor of VT Automotive Electronics. Between 1994 and 1998 he was Member of Parliament, vice president of the committee responsible for the preparation of Hungary's accession to the EU. Since 2000 he has been managing Videoton's ventures in Bulgaria. He is responsible for the activities and operation of the companies in Bulgaria; and keeps operative control of the mechanical businesses of the company group with special regard to the establishment and development of business relationships.



dr. Erzsébet Simonné Vágó
CLO - Chief Legal Officer

Born in 1953. She received a law degree from the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences at the University of Attila József in 1976. She started to work at the Legal Department of Videoton as a trainee lawyer in 1977. She passed her bar exam in 1979, working as legal counsel from this point. She has been managing the Legal Department of Videoton Holding since 1992, first as a legal counsel, then from 1988 as a Chief Legal Officer.


Gábor Káldi
Director, Controlling

Born in Zalaszentgrót in 1970.  He graduated from the Technical University of Budapest as an electrical engineer with a major in Microelectronics and Technology in 1994. He received a diploma in Economics at the College of Finance and Accountancy in 1998. After a short detour in Budapest he started to work at the Controlling Department of Videoton in 1998. He began here as a project manager and his task was to coordinate the introduction of a production management system in the Videoton Group, a system that is used by several subsidiaries nowadays as well. In parallel, he also started to take up the traditional areas of Controlling, relying on the engineer’s approach in the area of Finance as well. He became the director of Controlling after his predecessor retired in 2000. The renewal of the group’s controlling system was realised under his leadership. Although the system's development is continuous, he has now time for other, project type of tasks as well. He spends his free time primarily with his 3 children but if he has some spare time he gladly reads, travels or plays squash.


Zsuzsa Lászlófalviné Gönczy
Managing Director, VT Automotive Electronics Kft.

She received an electrical engineering degree with a major in industrial electronics in 1978 after which she started to work at Videoton.
Between 1978 and 1991 she worked at the Radio factory of Videoton first as a production support engineer then for 10 years as a development engineer. Between 1991 and 1994 she was entrusted in the first electromechanical supplying project of the new Videoton with managerial positions in technical then quality assurance areas. From 1994 she is the managing director of Videoton Automotive Electronics Kft. while at the same time she also managed the Inductive Component and Sensors & Controls subsidiaries.
Videoton Automotive Electronics Kft. manufactures electronic and electromechanical sub-assemblies as well as sensors for the automotive industry. Based on its turnover it is one of the determinant companies of the Videoton group.  Among its nearly 20 customers there are significant TIER 1 multinational companies and determinant medium-size European companies. With the continuous expansion of its product portfolio and technology, the company is a long-term and stabile player of the European automotive supply chain.



Csaba Klambauer
Managing Director, VIDEOTON EAS Kft.

Born in 1970. He graduated from the Faculty of College of Dunaújváros at the University of Miskolc as a mechanical plant engineer then he continued his studies in the fields of technical teaching.
He started his career at Videoton in August 1994 as the logistics manager of the wire harnessing plant in Veszprém which started back then.
In 1997 he started to work at the Székesfehérvár plant of Videoton where he became the head of the Texas project. From December 1998 he worked at VIDEOTON Electromechanics Kft.  as a deputy manager of Production and Logistics then later as a deputy managing director.
He participated in the restart of the Sárbogárd plant of Videoton in 2001.
He was the founding member of Videoton Electronic Assembly Services (VEAS) Company in 2004 where he worked as a deputy general manager. In 2006 he took over the management of the company and from 2008, since the change in the legal form of the company, he has been working as a managing director.
Videoton EAS Kft. manufactures electronic units on behalf of small & medium-size European companies as well as multinational customers. Its product portfolio is remarkably broad; it manufactures 600-800 different types of products for almost 30 customers. Continuously expanding its manufacturing and other services, VEAS is a professional player of the electronics industry.




Balázs Fábián
Managing Director, VT Elektro-PLAST, VIDEOTON Battery Technologies Kft.

He was born in Balassagyarmat, 1978. After his high school studies, he graduated as an electrical engineer from Budapest University of Technology and Economics in 2001, and a year later he took his master’s degree in bank information technology engineering at the same university.
After having widened his professional knowledge in different fields at Hungarian companies, he joined VIDEOTON Elektro-PLAST as a plastic and tool business unit manager in 2003. A year later he was appointed the deputy managing director of the company. Besides his job, he graduated from Budapest University of Technology and Economics Faculty of Master of Business Administration (MBA) where he gained the necessary strategic approach for management activities.
From 2010 as a business development director, he was working on expanding the existing business relationships with multinational partners and building new ones with customers and suppliers as well. In 2014 he became the managing director of a company specialized in battery assembly activities within VIDEOTON company groups. In 2015 he was appointed one of the three co-managing directors of VIDEOTON Elektro-PLAST, and since January 2017 he has been sharing the management tasks of Kaposvar and Marcali sites with his co-managing director Mr Levente Palca. While business development, customer relations, engineering and IT services and facility management issues are under his control, the two managing directors make mutual decisions in connection with HR, assembly units, logistics and quality management.
He spends as much free time as possible with his wife and their two children. He is also keen on motorcycling, light aircrafts, travelling and electronics.



Levente Pálca
Managing Director, VT Elektro-PLAST

He was born in Miskolc, 1981. In 2004 he graduated as a chartered economist from University of Miskolc Faculty of Economics then he became a certified accountant in 2008. Currently he is a Ph.D. candidate at University of Miskolc Enterprise Theory and Practice Doctoral School. In his dissertation, he is dealing with the individual success factors from individual psychology approach. He has gained his work experience as the financial manager or managing director of several Hungarian companies. In 2008 he joined VIDEOTON Elektro-PLAST as a financial director, later in 2014 he was promoted to the managing director of KVEP Kft., which belongs to the Kaposvar management.
In 2015 he was appointed one of the three co-managing directors of VIDEOTON Elektro-PLAST, and since January 2017 he has been managing its sites in Kaposvar and Marcali together with his co-managing director Mr Balazs Fabian. While financial issues, treasury businesses, company assets and purchasing activity are under his control, the two managing directors make mutual decisions related to HR, assembly units, logistics and quality management.
He lives with his wife and their two children, does sports in his free time - especially triathlon and basketball -, and he has already completed the Ironman Triathlon several times.
