When did you come to Hungary and why?

I came to Hungary in 2019 to pursue my studies at the University of Dunaujvaros. I was attracted to the country's rich history, vibrant culture, and renowned educational system. Hungary offered a unique opportunity for me to experience a different environment and gain international exposure while studying engineering management with a specialization in logistics.

Where did you first came across our company?

I first came across the company when I was researching it before starting my intership and I was really impressed by the accomplishments of VIDEOTON.

What made you decide to work at VIDEOTON?

VIDEOTON was one of the companies that provided an opportunity aligned with my field of study. I was drawn to the company's reputation in the industry and its significant contribution to Hungary's manufacturing sector.

What experience have you gained from your time working here?

During my time working at VIDEOTON, I have gained valuable experience in the field of purchasing and inventory management. I have learned about managing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods, and I was exposed to the industry of electronic chips and PCB production. My experience at VIDEOTON has allowed me to apply theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios, thus fostering a well-rounded understanding of the field. Before starting my internship I was uncertain which field of logistics I would prefer to work in, but thanks to this experience I understood that procurement is the one for me.

Different country, different habits. What differences have you found in the way Hungarian and Kazakh companies operate?

I have limited experience, however one notable difference I have found is the working culture. Hungarian companies often emphasize a friendly and collaborative working environment, with a focus on building a supportive atmosphere among colleagues. In addition, I find the hybrid working model that most Hungarian companies utilize to be very convenient, and in addition, the employees here are able to maintain a good work-life balance.

Learning and working in a foreign country is exciting and challenging at the same time. Have you had any lasting experiences that you would like to share with us?

Learning and working in a foreign country has been both exciting and challenging for me. I have had the opportunity to immerse myself in a different culture, interact with people from diverse backgrounds, and expand my horizons. One lasting experience that stands out for me is the hospitality and warmth of the Hungarian people. My colleagues at the Purchasing and NPI teams have been incredibly welcoming and supportive, making my transition to a new workplace much smoother. I would like to thank them for their guidance and expertise.

You will finish university soon. What are your plans for the future?

As I approach the end of my university journey, my plan for the future is to pursue a master's degree in the same field in Hungary. I have developed a strong affinity for the Hungarian system of education and believe that furthering my studies will provide me with more specialized knowledge and opportunities for professional growth. Ultimately, I aim to continue my career in the field of purchasing and supply chain management, leveraging thes kills and experiences I have gained during my internship at VIDEOTON and through my studies.
